Nik Peace
Nik Peace, a Master of Ceremonies and comedy-improv specialist for “green defense” educational concerts and events, represents the directly interactive, theatrical aspect of Intelligent Future (PeaceOnDemand). Serving food for thought through humorous observations from a perspective not of this world, Nik, a dedicated peace fan, is also a fan of fans and collects fans of all kinds. He makes and sells folding peace fans that are “efficient, inexpensive, and an immediately applicable solution to global warming.”
Nik is an official observer of human civilization from the planet Eeka, a million-year-old beacon of wisdom in the Tofu System. He has lived in the United States since 1945, and is an expert on "What the hell happened after that?"
With the perspective of a civilization that has survived a million years of change, Nik struggles to formulate his advice into words and gestures that don't insult human audiences.
"But you've been to the Moon! In fact, you've been halfway there, blown up, kept going all the way round and home with amazing last-minute cooperation. Well done!
"On my planet, we’re placing bets: 'Can they do that moon blow-up thing in a climate change scenario? Can they adapt with amazing last-minute cooperation? No! I'll bet 10,000 quatloos!' Because you're all watching disgusting things and going 'Eeeeuuwww, that's gross!' No one's paying attention to the future! Why? It's not here yet. It's not on DVD."
Nik's famous-throughout-the-galaxy "Kiss my badge" gesture is in fact the Eekan way to say hello—and he is in fact gesturing to his peace-symbol belt buckle, the highly coveted Eekan Agent of Change badge that distinguishes him as an ambassador to other worlds.
"You're just a babe of a civilization, and you need changing. So remember, life's not your movie as an individual; it's your test as a family—and that means only one diaper."
