PeaceOnDemand
This project analyzes and comments on the growth of human-centric perspectives of "defense" and "diversity" over the last 60 years-and how such perspectives stand up to the rising awareness that nature is the true superpower and nationalism is trumped by the human family's 100,000-yearlong journey from its origin (in what is today called Ethiopia).
The project focuses heavily on the post-World War II creation and maintenance of the United States' Department of Defense as a global industry, and its strategy of Full Spectrum Dominance. The disconnect between "defense" and "dominance" as defined in any dictionary stands as one of the largest obstacles to change if "change" refers to adaptation by civilization to nature's requirements for balance.
This project also seeks to diminish the weight of human-centric definitions of "diversity," taking color, race, ethnicity, gender, creation myths and other so-called divisions out of the equation while portraying the absolute need for harmonious partnership among all inhabitants of Earth as one that can only be resolved successfully for the human family through collective recognition of its responsibility as potentially the most destructive member of nature's far larger family of diversity.
Given a realistic, non-nationalistic defense policy based on such collective recognition-and if appropriated by the people-because of its unmatched wealth as an industry and breadth as a global network of advanced science and technology companies, the United States' Department of Defense possesses perhaps the framework best suited to offer a global defense of diversity (to mitigate climate change) and assist in the transformation to a just and sustainable world economy in this century.
PeaceOnDemand will use the best formats and venues-including comedy on video, concerts, and written materials (declassified documents, statistics, and analyses)-to provide the fastest public access to startling research results gathered in the last six years. As well as chronicling the creation of DOD (the US armaments industry) in 1947 and its maintenance thereafter, these results include the discovery of a 900% increase in Department of Defense dollars and contracts to more than 1,100 universities worldwide for defense-applied research since fiscal year 2000. Companies in more than 200 nations and territories have contracts with DOD, including China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, and Syria. (There were no such companies in Iraq until 2003.)
DOD is the largest industry in the world, and by far the biggest tax drain for US citizens. Defense-related programs combined swallow 67% of taxes compared to 0.4% for education.

American leaders? Smack 'em upside the head with a dictionary. "Defense" doesn't include torture. How can you have a national DEFENSE strategy called Full Spectrum Dominance? It's like calling cancer a national asset. You know who's going to smack 'em upside the head with a dictionary? Mother Nature. Whapp! "Who's your superpower!"
